Tightwad Tuesday: Stuart Weitzman 50/50 Boots on a Budget

Kitty cats, back in July of 2010, I introduced you to a less-expensive version of Stuart Weitzman’s 50/50 Boots; now I have unearthed something even better.

On your left, allow your eyes to take in the lusciousness that is the Stuart Weitzman 50/50 Boot – the very same one worn by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Leighton Meester, Lindsay Lohan, and Angelina Jolie; to the right cast your eyes upon Steve Madden’s haute Haviland.

Though the Madden marvel sports a shaft that is a half-size shorter, and a heel that is a half-inch higher than the Weitzman wonders; for just $119.96, as opposed to the $595.00 required to add Stuart to your ever-burgeoning shoe collection, they allow the frugalista to indulge in star style at a far more pleasing price!

Which role have you decided to undertake on this terrific Tuesday, kittens? Tightwad or spendthrift?

Tightwad Tuesday: Cartier Panthere De Cartier Ring for Less

My loves, to the left we have Cartier’s purrrr-fect Panthere De Cartier Ring, the very same one seen gracing the pretty paws of Rachel Zoe, Twilight’s Kristen Stewart, Lady Gaga, Leighton Meester, Rihanna, Olivia Wilde, and many more of your favorite fashionistas; to the right feast your eyes upon Shock Boutique’s perfect Panther Ring.

While the Shock Boutique stunner lacks some of the exquisite detailing seen upon its haute couture counterpart; for a mere $30, as opposed to the $20,300.00 needed to take the original home, it is every bit as capable of adding a fierce touch to your accessory collection – at a price that will leave your life savings intact!

Are you having a tightwad moment darlings, or are you plagued with a craving to splurge?

Fashionably yours!

♥ Fashionably Moi! ♥

So what is Fashionably Moi!, you ask? CafĂ© Fashionista’s new weekly series that will give you the lowdown on everything I’m currently up to – from what’s on my nails to what’s on my nightstand. Let’s begin, shall we, my loves?!

Wearing: Black floral Xhilaration dress from Target; Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Luella Zip Wedge Sandals in Black (still searching for my size in Cognac!); House of Harlow 1960 Key Cocktail Ring; Hot Pink Floral Ring from Forever 21.

Reading: The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett – Mary Engelbreit’s Classic Library Edition, that is. The story is so much more charming with Engelbreit’s whimsical illustration on the cover!

Glamourizing: Nails: Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers layered over OPI’s Lincoln Park After Dark to create what Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere has titled Poison Apple. Lips: mark’s Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in Tease (sadly, this shade appears to have been discontinued) layered over mark’s Pro Glimmer Hook Up Lip Powder in Peek – perfect for creating a subtly frosted lip. Eyes: mark’s i-glimmer Illuminating Eye Color in Bronzed (another product that has tragically been discontinued!).

Listening: Baby’s Romance by Chris Garneau. I like to think of it as a lullaby for grown-ups. Listen to it immediately, si vous s'il vous plait - you will love!

Adoring: Double-finger rings. Scrangie – literally THE best nail polish blog ever; she makes me want to buy more luscious lacquers than a girl could ever possibly need! White Hot Chocolate – the name says it all.

Watching: Gossip Girl Season 2 on DVD. I’ll be honest; one Ms. Serena van der Woodsen’s diva-tude leaves much to be desired – bring back the girl I adore from Season 1!

Desiring: Hard Candy’s Just Nails with Ring in Mr. Wrong – I have searched high and low for this color and cannot find it anywhere! Belle by Sigerson Morrison Stretch Mid Thigh Wedge Boots – swoon; be still my heart! Valley of the Dolls - j’adore the book by Jacqueline Susann; therefore, it is high time to see the big screen version.

Quoting: Henry Emerson Fosdick - “I would rather live in a world where my life is surrounded by mystery than live in a world so small that my mind could comprehend it.”

Awaiting: Merona Musetta Ruffled Booties in Black. Presently I am on quite the bootie kick – no pun intended; thus, I need these in my life…luckily, they should be here any day now!

But enough about moi; let’s talk about…vous. Time to give me the lowdown on your life, lovers! What are you up to this week?

Fashionably yours!

Sunday Steals: Chloe Leather Lace-Up Wedge Boots at a Bargain

My loves, to the left take a peek at Chloe’s luxurious Lace-Up Wedge Boots, the very same pair seen upon the feet of everyone’s favorite Upper East Side Queen Bee, one Miss Blair Waldorf (aka Leighton Meester) during a season three episode of Gossip Girl; to the right prepare to swoon over the darling Davis Bootie by Coconuts by Matisse.

While the Davis is constructed out of canvas and trimmed in leather, as opposed to being crafted entirely out of leather a la the charming Chloe; for just $83.95, in comparison to the $695.00 price tag of their haute couture counterpart, they are every bit as capable of adding a splash of ladylike luxury to your ever-burgeoning shoe collection!

Are you having a tightwad moment darlings, or are you plagued with a craving to splurge?

Fashionably yours!

Sunday Steals: Stuart Weitzman 50/50 Boots on a Budget

My loves, to the left feast your eyes on Stuart Weitzman’s sassy 50/50 Boots, the very same ones seen gracing the feet of Leighton Meester (aka Blair Waldorf) on the set of Gossip Girl, as well as Angelina Jolie, Lindsay Lohan, and Jennifer Love Hewitt; to the right take a gander at Promiscuous’ Karin.

Though the Promiscuous pretties feature a slightly shorter shaft than the Weitzman wonders; at just $143.00, in comparison to the $595.00 price tag of the Weitzman’s, they are every bit as capable of adding a splash of rebelliousness to your look du jour, at a price that you simply can’t resist!

Is today the day for you to please the big spender within; or will you play it cool and be thrifty?

Fashionably yours!

Tightwad Tuesday: Proenza Schouler Large Leather PS1 for Pennies

Kitty cats it is not everyday that one falls in love with a handbag in such a way that they contemplate dipping into their life savings and tossing it directly in the face of the shopkeeper in order to claim perfection as their very own; nevertheless, it is an occurrence that does happen every once in awhile during the course of an individual’s lifetime, leading the consumer in question to cast all cares to the wayside and splurge, splurge, splurge!

In past times, such an honor fell upon Balenciaga’s Giant City and Marc by Marc Jacobs’ Stam Satchel; now, the object being swooned over has fallen upon the shoulders of the bewitching Large Leather PS1 from Proenza Schouler.

Darlings if there is any doubt in your mind regarding the necessity of a wondrously weatherbeaten messenger bag slash satchel to one’s wardrobe please shut it out immediately! The truth of the matter, I’ll have you know, is that a cross body bag is an item which no supposed fashionista should be without. It retains the ability to allow for free hands during spur of the moment shopping sprees; whilst adding a splash of casual finesse to the haut monde ensemble we both know you are currently accoutered in. All of which can be observed with one half-second glance in the direction of the Large Leather PS1.

Half inspired by the uniform-wearing Prep School students nonchalantly strolling along Park Avenue, ties undone and hair mesmerizingly mussed; half influenced by the saddle bags carried by experienced equestrians, the Large Leather PS1 combines two worlds into one charming carryall, allowing the user to look unfussy yet fabulous. If only the pricetag were as magnificent as the alluring aesthetic.

Obviously there is no doubt that Proenza Schouler’s pretty is jaw-droppingly beautiful; but at $1,995.00, it is also fairly unattainable for the frugal fashionista. ASOS’ Leather Twist Lock Satchel, on the other hand, is more wallet-friendly.

While slightly darker in color than its more expensive pal; for $109.91, the ASOS piece is a classy compromise with the power to breathe a little elegance into any girl’s handbag collection!

Tell me, kittens…will you be a big spender and go for Proenza Schouler, or be thrifty and spring for ASOS?

Fashionably yours!

Thanks to Barneys and ASOS for the pictures.
